25 Mei produser BigHit Bang Shi Hyuk bekerja sama dengan Source Music, mengumumkan pembetukan GLAM yang terdiri dari 5 anggota perempuan yang memiliki bakat menyanyi, menari, dan bermain instrumen. Dahhe member pertama yang diperkenalkan oleh Big Hit melalui Vocaloid voice provider versi Korea yang diluncurkan di Jepang pada awal mei 2012, dan Miso sebelumnya pernah tampil sebagai peserta audisi The Great Rebirth MBC.
Akhir bulan mei ke 5 anggota GLAM Dahee, Miso, Trinity, Zinni dan Leader Park Jiyeon dikenalkan melalui video teaser. Kelima anggota kemudian ditampilkan dalam realitas musik SBS-MTV tanggal 6 - 27 Juni jam 8:30 KST yang berjudul Real Music Drama GLAM. 16 Juli GLAM merilis single album debut pertamanya berjudul Party (XXO) dan memulai debut panggung pertamanya di M Countdown Mnet.
